Tuition for all drivers
From an approved DVSA Driving Instructor
-
Provisional Licence Holders
I am a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). This means I am qualified to teach Provisional Licence Holders, to pass their Practical Car Driving Test (Manual Gearbox Cat. B).
-
Full Licence Holders
I also deliver Pass Plus which is ideal for those who have passed their test in the past year to gain extra skills. Refresher lessons can help those who have not driven in a while or on certain roads.
-
Other Driving Skills
If you are interested in taking your driving further I can give lessons aimed to improve awareness from a range of driving styles, including police (Roadcraft), Advanced & Motorway.
About Me & My Car
I previously worked in the Police where I was fortunate enough to complete the Police Standard Driving course. I am also a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists, both Car and Motorcycle. I use a Suzuki Swift for my lessons, which is a 1 litre Petrol engine with a manual gearbox. It is fitted with dual controls for those just in case moments, but also so I can physically explain things about the pedals to my students. It is white, which means I have to clean it often and isn't covered in branding. I simply have the compulsory L plates.

Terms & Conditions
Licence
Students must hold a current and valid photo card driving licence which must be produced on their first driving lesson. A code must be generated online via the DVSA prior to your first lesson so your licence can be verified by myself. A guide that explains this process can be found on gov.uk.
Changes to your driving licence due to medical conditions or driving convictions must be notified to me prior to your next lesson. You must be fit to drive and ensure you are driving in accordance with your licence. I cannot be held responsible for any infringement of the law and any fines that are incurred will be the responsibility of the driver. Information about pupils is stored online via My Drive Time and is deleted after 6 years.
Cancellations and Refunds
In the event that you need to cancel a lesson I do appreciate at least 24-hours notice. If a lesson is cancelled less than 24-hours prior to its start time this will incur a £5 cancelation fee. Conversely if I have to cancel a lesson without 24-hours notice, (and this is not due to adverse weather or mechanical failure) then there will be a £5 discount off the price of your next lesson. If the weather is too severe to take a lesson or there is a mechanical fault with the car I will re-arrange your lesson. All refunds over £50 are subject to a £5 transaction fee.
Voluntary Code of Practice
I will abide by the Voluntary Code of Practice which has been agreed between DVSA. Please ensure that I am aware of your current mobile number and email address. If you are under 18 – please make sure your legal guardian is made away of these conditions. By taking driving lessons with Jon Holland Driving it is assumed that you have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
FAQs & News
Frequently Asked Questions and the latest news from Jon Holland Driving
Before your lesson you need to provide me with a DVSA licence check code. You can find out how to do that on gov.uk. On your first driving lesson you need to bring your photocard driving licence, sensible footwear and any glasses/contact lenses if you need to wear them for driving.
I accept payment via Cash, Bank Transfer, Paym or via a Credit/Debit Card. There is no extra charge for paying by card.
Passing your test takes, on average, 45 hours of lessons according to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency. However, this is just an average. Some people will need more, some will need less.
I recommend the official books and DVDs from the DVSA as they are the ones who make the tests! You can find them on the Safe Driving for Life Website or even on your mobile phone. Look for the DVSA logo.
Unfortunately not. I recommend Ant's Driving School in Ely for Automatic Lessons.
The best way to contact me is by text, iMessage or WhatsApp on (07899) 786911 or alternatively emailing me at info@jonhollanddriving.co.uk.
